Liturgy for the Feast of the First Regurgitation
This piece of micro-fiction originally appeared in the 2024 Weird Christmas Flash Fiction Contest/Anthology in both written and audio formats. The prompt was to write a story in 350 words or less about a fake alien holiday. I wrote this one in the form of a call-and-respond liturgical service.

Drenched
My filthiest story (so far) appeared in J. Manfred Weichsel’s 2025 anthology entitled Jungle Scandals, which was meant to be a call-back to pulpy, over-the-top jungle adventure stories from way back when.
Prior to this submission call, I had no intention of writing smut, but did it anyway because I wanted to see just how absurd I could go with it. The sci-fi MacGuffin that I used, however, had been rolling around in my head since the first wave of Covid-19 lockdowns. Ultimately, I was honored to have my contribution be placed as the grand finale.

The Black Lyre
This tale first appeared as part of the Summer Solstice 2025 Issue for Eternal Haunted Summer, a website dedicated to all things pagan and mythological. The theme of this issue was music so I chose to write about a cursed instrument (a bold choice, I know), and though it is not based on any Greek myths in particular, I was heavily inspired by them.
Think of it as if an ancient Greek tragedy hooked up with a modern disaster movie (that’s how I approached it).

From the Mouths of Snakes
My first short story was published in 2019 by HellBound Books for their anthology of religious horror stories entitled Blood & Blasphemy. In my story, we are introduced to a savage, backwoods cult leader named Jim Adiney whose ferocious jealousy leads to unfathomable bloodshed. I was inspired to write this folksy little yarn after reading the Bible and imagining what it would be like to run into someone who actually behaved and thought like the God of the Old Testament.
Unfortunately for all civilized society, this is not the last time we will be hearing of Old Jim . . .
